  Schmidt, Albert (Ab) - At K-W Hospital, on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1987, following a lengthy illness, Albert (Ab) Schmidt, age 80 years, of 36 Jackson Ave., Kitchener. Mr. Schmidt was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, had been employed with Carling O'Keefe Breweries as a truck driver for 28 years, was a member of the Carling O'Keefe Breweries 25 year club and a past member of the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club. Beloved husband of the former Alma Shantz; dear father of Yvonne (Bonnie) (Mrs. James Washburn) of Waterloo; brother of Milt Schmidt of Boston, Mass., Bert (Mrs. William Nutter) of Kitchener, Mrs. Elsie Hertzberger and Mart (Mrs. Ted Sim), all of Waterloo. Loving grandfather of Mrs. Tracy Zehr and Todd Washburn and great-grandfather of Zachary Zehr. Predeceased by his parents and one brother, Carl. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 2 p.m. Thursday, continuing until the funeral and committal service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, on Friday, 2: 30 p.m., Rev. Chester Lewis officiating. Internment Woodland cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario gratefully acknowledged.
