- A former Kitchener resident, Otto Edward Bergen, 55, of Detroit, died Monday of a heart attack in Zieger Hospital, Detroit. Born July 15, 1906, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Bergen, 100 Moore Ave. He was born in Kitchener and moved to Detroit eight years ago. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Pearl Becker; three brothers, Louis of Dundas, Vern of Kitchener, Douglas of Waterloo, and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Elsie) Koch of Kitchener, Mrs. Hedwig Howlett of Detroit. One brother and a sister predeceased him. The funeral will be conducted Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Detroit. Burial will be in Detroit.
