  FRANCOIS, Rita Frances (Hackborn) - Peacefully, with her family at her side, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Thursday, June 28,2001, age 80 years, a resident of Kitchener. Rita was a faithful member of St. Francis RC Church and Prayer Group, Past President of Sacred Heart Parish CWL, St. Mary's Hospital Volunteer, Red Cross Blood Donor Volunteer, Companion of Sisters of St. Joseph and an active bridge player. Beloved wife and dearest friend of. the late Roland (July 1998). Loving mother of Yvonne and her husband Allan Dietrich, Elyse and her husband Ralph Novak, all of Waterloo, Mary Lou and her husband Denis Perreault of Kitchener, Gerry Francois and his wife Donna of Fonthill and Clementine and her faithful companion, special skills dog. Forever cherished grand-mother of Kristen and Sandra Bassanese, Melissa and Antonio Martinez, Cheryl, Jean-Luc and Andre Perreault, Kevin and Kaitlyn Francois and great-grandmother of Alyssa Perreault; dear sister of Sister Gloria Seifried SSND of Owen Sound, Louise and her husband Robert Mikol of Waterloo and Neil and his wife Anke Seified of Edmonton. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Luella Hachborn and step-father, Fred Seifried. Rita's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday from 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. A morning prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 3, 2001 at 10:15 a.m. followed by Mass of Christ Ian Burial at St. Francis RC Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener. The parish prayers service will be held at the funeral home Monday evening at 8:45 p.m. In RIta's memory, donations may be made to the Lion's Foundation Dog Guide of Canada or 5t.
