    • KNECHTEL, Robert George - At Cambridge memorial Hospital, Cambridge, on Friday, Febr. 28, 1992, age 77 years and formerly of Blair Manor, Cambridge. Mr. Knechtel was born in Kitchener and had been employed with National Grocers for 30 years before his retirement. He was also a member of Carmel Church, Kitchener and belonged to the Highland Light Infantry as a lieutenant. Beloved father of Aurrelle and her husband Rob, Peter and his wife Barbara, all of Kitchener, and Daniel and his wife Sue of Fort McCoy, Fla. Survived by two brothers Lloyd, Richard and his wife Ruby, all of Waterloo, and his sister Helen (Mrs. Carl Burrows) of Ayr and Jean and her husband Wally Cressman of Kitchener. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Mary in 1978 and two brothers, Art and Jack. A public memorial service was held on Sunday, March 1, 1992, from the Carmel Church, Kitchener at 3 p.m. Rev. Louis Synnestvedt officiated. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
