  Mrs. Gordon E. Bender A lifetime resident of the Twin Cities, Mrs. Gordon E Bender of 358 Clifton Rd., died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 53. Born in Kitchener, she was the former Verna J. Matthews, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ormond D. Matthews of Kitchener. Surviving besides her parents are her husband: one son, David A. of Kitchener, and one daughter, Nancy Anne, also, of Kitchener. She was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Edward Cowan in 1961. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home afternoon on Sunday. The service will be held there Monday at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. J. H. Patterson. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
