- Mrs. Charles Smith - By Record Correspondent - PRESTON - Jan. 12 - Stricken with a heart attack, Pearl Krease, wife of Charles B. Smith, died suddenly at her home 445 Fountain St. yesterday afternoon at the age of 47 years. Mrs. Smith was apparently in good health and her sudden death came as a shock to the family and friends. Born in Limerick, she had resided in Preston and district all her life. She was a member of Hagey's Mennonite Church. Surviving are her husband; a son, Howard, of Preston; a brother, Wilfred Krease, Limerick, and a sister, Mrs. Percy Toman, Limerick. A daughter, Dorothy, died in infancy. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Hagey's Mennonite cemetery. Rev. Benjamin Shantz will officiate.
