  Mrs. Oscar Thal Twin City friends were grieved to learn yesterday of the death of Mrs. Bertha Thal, beloved wife of Oscar Thal, 177 Chestnut St., Kitchener, assistant manager of the Kitchener Public Utilities. Deceased had suffered a slight heart condition for some time and passed away quite unexpectedly Thursday morning about eight o'clock. She was born in Switzerland. In 1916 she was married at Kitchener to Mr. Oscar Thal, who survives with one daughter Marjory, also one brother Fred Nunz of Switzerland. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2.30 o'clock from the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral home, Benton St., Kitchener. Rev. Dr. Sperling of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, pastor of deceased will officiate. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery. Waterloo Chronicle 2 Apr 1937 pg 10
