  Local relatives were grieved to hear of the passing of Mr. Jacob Shoemaker in Kitchener on Friday afternoon. The late Mr. Shoemaker the younger son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Shoemaker of this place was born and brought up here and also served his apprenticeship as tinsmith with Mr. Dahmer, the local tinsmith and hardware merchant. He later went to Kitchener, where he lived since. A large number of village and district relatives and friends paid their last respects by attending his funeral held in Kitchener on Monday afternoon.
