- P. K. Weber Dies of Heart Attack
Suffers Seizure in Kitchener After Feeding Horses in His Barn
Philip K. Weber, generally known as "P. K. Weber," died suddenly at 7.30 o'clock this morning soon after returning from the barn at the rear of his home on Queen street.
A heart attack, which seized him as he sat on a chair in the kitchen of his home, caused his untimely demise. He had gone to the barn shortly before, to feed the horses kept in the home barn. Entering the kitchen, he spoke a few words after seating himself, and then fell to the floor, dead.
He was 71 years of age and was one of the best known livery men in the district. He was proprietor of the P. K. Weber Livery Stables. The greater part of his life was confined to this business and for years he was actively engaged in taming. He was very well known in municipal circles, having held the position of city roadmaster for many years.
Mr. Weber was born in Woolwich township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weber, on June 16, 1861.
His wife, two sons, J. P. Weber and a. Weber, both of Kitchener, and three brothers, Carl Weber, city, Louis Weber, Hawkesville, Dr. Henry Weber, Medford, Ore., and one sister, Miss Katie Weber, Kitchener, survive.
Remains will be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery on Sunday afternoon following services at his late home at 2.30 o'clock and at St. Paul's Lutheran church, of which he was a member, at 3 p.m. Rev. Albert Orzen will officiate.
