    • McEVOY, Margaret Mary - June 26, 1923 - August 2, 2009. Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre. Loving wife of 60 years to Charles McEvoy; devoted mother of the late Brenda Pardoe (2009), Gail (Gary) Rains, Bill McEvoy, Peggy (Wayne) Madan, the late John McEvoy (1960) and Chadeen (Paul)Berkers. Cherished Grandmother of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Margaret Strub; her sister, Beatrice St. John; her brother, Willard Strub and grandson, Franklin McChesnie. Margaret was a member of the Catholic Women's League for 55 years and was an accomplished artist. Many of her paintings are on display throughout North America in family homes and businesses and her work will continue to be appreciated for years to come. Special thankyou for the care and support provided by the doctors, nurses and all staff at the Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre. Friends and family are invited to visit and share memories of Margaret at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 (today) from 7 until 9 p.m. and on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held on Thursday at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament RC Church,305 Laurentian Drive, Kitchener, with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Blessed Sacrament Building Fund or the Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre's Residents Council would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged by contacting the funeral home at (519)-743-8900.
