Death of Mrs. Miller - The death took place at the home of her son in Elkhart, Ind., on Monday afternoon last of Mrs. Hannah Miller, widow of the late Andrew Miller, of this town, at the age of 77 years. Mrs. Miller took sick at her home here last summer and in September went with her son, Mr. K. J. Miller, to his home in Elkhart, where she passed away. After a prayer service at her son's home on Wednesday the remains were brought to New Hamburg, arriving here yesterday morning, accompanied by her sons, K. J., and Samuel W., of Holland, Mich. The remains were taken to the Evangelical church where the funeral service was held yesterday afternoon followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was born in Waterloo county on January 29, 1843, and lived her life in this county. For many years she resided on a farm near Haysville and later in New Hamburg. She was a faithful member of the local Evangelical church. Her husband predeceased her on September 16, 1917. Surviving her are three sons, Samuel W. Miller, of Holland. Mich., Herbert, of Hartford, Mich., and Edwin J., of Elkhart. Ind.; four daughters, Mrs. W. Murray, New Hamburg, Mrs. G. W. Davison, of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. John Pierie, of Vancouver, B. C., and Mrs. B. J. Chamberlain, of Brookpark. Minn.; 21 grandchildren, a great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Susan Bauman, of St. Jacobs.
