- Obituary of Lloyd Lautenschlager
Entered into the hands of the Lord on February 28, 2012 at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, with his family at his side. Lloyd was born in Petersburg, Ontario where he lived until he married his wife Helen when they moved to Kitchener where they began their family together. Predeceased by his wife Helen (nee Seyler) in July 2007. Beloved father of Larry and wife Carole of Elmira, Judy Mundell and husband John of Orillia. Grandfather of Jennifer Beisel, Jeffrey (Penny) and Gregory (Adrienne) Lautenschlager, Erin (Jeremy) Carpenter, Andrew and Matthew (Harmony) Mundell and great-grandfather of Rebecca and Tyson Lautenschlager, Kayla and Courtney Beisel, and Chloe Carpenter. Lloyd is survived by his sister-in-law Dorothy (late Earl) Lautenschlager. Predeceased by his siblings, the late Earl (late Eva) Lautenschlager and the late Carl (late Gertrude) Lautenschlager. Dear brother-in-law of Hilda (late Elmer) Hohl, Reta (late Wilfred) Seyler and the late Edgar (late Catherine) Seyler. Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Former founder and owner of Acme Auto Body in Kitchener for many years. Lloyd was a long time and faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Historical Automobile Society of Canada.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Lloyd with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St South, Waterloo, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday. The funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave, Kitchener, on Monday, March 5th, 2012 at 1 p.m. with one hour visiting prior at the church. Spring interment at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Petersburg.
Condolences for the family and donations to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or to Lutheran Hour would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home.
