PETERSBURG— The death of Leonard Schade, 74. of Petersburg occurred at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday morning after a lingering illness for the past three years. Deceased, a retired farmer, was born in Milverton on March 25, 1865, a son of the late John Schade and Elizabeth Ruhl. He was married to Anna Newmaster at Poole on Nov. 8, 1893. Before moving to Petersburg last year. he lived at Baden and Wellesley. Surviving are his wife, one daughter Oletta of Kitchener, five brothers. Valentine and Benjamin of West Monkton. John of Milverton, Henry and Fred in Michigan, four sisters. Mrs. Elizabeth Hammer of Michigan, Mrs. Carrie Inman, Mrs. Annie Schade and Mrs. Maggie Streicher, all of Monkton. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from the residence to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg. with interment in Petersburg cemetery. Rev. C. A. Kramer of Wellesley was in charge of the services.
