    • Rev. Louis Andres

      Former pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rev. Louis Andres, 76, of 56 Allan St. East, Waterloo, died at the K-W Hospital Saturday.

      The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Andres, he was born in Germany, July 21, 1872. He graduated from the theological seminary in Springfield, Ill., in 1900. His first parish was in Desboro, Ont., where he served as pastor from 1900 to 1905. His next parish was in Waltz, Mich., where he remained until 1936, then retiring and settling in Waterloo. During his retirement he served in many churches in this community and in St. Paul's Lutheran Church until the present pastor, Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt arrived. Rev. Mr. Andres was a brother of Rev. Peter Andres who was a pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years. His marriage to the former Louise Specker, who survives, took place in Kitchener Sept. 10, 1901.

      Surviving, besides his widow is one daughter, Mrs. Marie Luft Kitchener.

      The body will rest at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home until 1 a.m. Tuesday when removal wil be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church for service at 2 p.m. In terment will be made in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev C. T. Wetzstein will officiate.
