- Mrs. Sarah Lang
Hamilton-Following a brief illness, Mrs. Sarah Woodward Lang of 22 Homewood Ave, Hamilton, died Friday at her residence. Formerly a resident of Kitchener, she had lived in Hamilton for the past 2 ½ years. She was a member of the King St. Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a former president of the Women's Missionary Circle. She was an original board of directors of the YWCA and was president and treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Victorian Order of Nurses for many years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shepperson. Her husband, Edward D. Lang, predeceased her August 31, 1952. She is survived by two sons, Rev. Harold W. of Hamilton and H. Douglas of Town of Mount Royal, Quebec, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rev. Walter T. Steven, pastor of the McNeill Memorial Baptist Church, Hamilton, and Rev. H.J. Balsdon will conduct the service. The body is at the funeral home.
