Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2016, in her 103rd year, at The Village of Winston Park surrounded by loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Andrew Ross MacIntosh (1989), her mother Margaret (Schiel), father George Kalbfleisch, her sisters Florence (Henry Koch) and Pearl (Bert Sitler), her brothers Otto Kalbfleisch (Alma Welker) and Moody Kalbfleisch (Ruth Boese).
Cherished mother of Judy (Larry Hamel), Paul MacIntosh (Rosi Gehrling), Russel MacIntosh (Stephanie McLean). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Ellen (John Szydlik), Laurie (James Rosie), Thoralynn (Cevin Laughlin), Peter MacIntosh (Denise Richard), Rebecca (Gregory Zehr), Reggie MacIntosh (Tolga Yalkin), her great grandchildren Christine White, Justin and Travis Szydlik, Neil (Ali Edmunds) and Carina Rosie, Jacob, Cali, Joshua and Cacia Laughlin, Danica and Georgia Zehr, and all of her nieces and nephews.
Ruth's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all her wonderful caregivers, initially through CCAC, then at Caressant Care Harriston, and most recently in the Trussler and Newberry neighbourhoods at The Village of Winston Park Kitchener, and to the dear residents at Winston Park who came to know and care for Ruth.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 23 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday November 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Ruth's life 12:30-1:00 p.m. and reception 1-3 p.m. at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa Street S. Kitchener, N2E 2X5.
Following cremation, interment will take place in Memory Gardens, 2723 Victoria Street, N., Kitchener (Breslau) Ontario on a date to be determined.
