      Local News: Mr. John Haddow, formerly of Peel Township, died suddenly at his residence, in Berlin, on Sunday evening, from apoplexy, after being ill only a few hours....He was 64 years and 2 months of age, and leaves a widow and family of seven children surviving. The eldest son is in British Columbia - the others at home. Deceased came to Canada from Scotland about 60 years ago, and moved to Berlin in 1898, where he has lived retired since. The funeral took place on Wednesday, to the Glenallan cemetery
