    • DANDENO, JOSEPH LOUIS

      In Galt Hospital, early Wednesday, September 4, 1940, in his 83rd year, after a brief illness. Mr. Dandeno was a baker by trade. For a number of years, he operated a bakery on Ainslie St. N. About twenty years ago, he retired. Mr. Dandeno was born in Puslinch Township but had resided in Galt much of his life. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church. His wife passed away about eight years ago. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. George Cooper, Mrs. Ernest Dale, Mrs. E. Murray, Mrs. J. Urbach, all of Galt; Mrs. Charles Steffler of Moose Jaw; three sons, Joseph and Fred of Kitchener; Leo of London; forty-five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The funeral, from his residence, 64 McNaughton St. in Galt on Saturday at 8: 45 to St. Patrick's Church for funeral mass at 9, was largely attended by his many friends. Father D. J. Hourigan conducted the service in the church, while Father Doyle officiated at the cemetery, assisted by Father Hourigan and Father R. McKinnon. Pallbearers were all grandsons: Louis, Jack and James Cooper; George Swan; Fred and Louis Dandeno. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. T. Little and Son Ltd. Funeral Home.

      -Information from the marriage certificate: Born c. 1887 in Guelph, son of Louis Dandeno and Edith Waldman. Married Minnie Ames on Feb. 13, 1908.
