  BERGEY, Bernice Mathilda - Bernice passed away in her sleep, at her home, the Bauman Residence of the Parkwood Mennonite Home on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in her 85th year. Lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian (Nancy), Barry (Cindy) and Blaine (Karen). Always remembered by her grandchildren, Leigh (Grant), Nicole (Michael), Matthew (Jaclyn), Rebecca (Jeff), Stephanie (Patrick) and her great-grandchildren, William, Breanna and Jacob. Predeceased by her husband, Grant Bergey in 1981. Bernice was a long time employee of K-Mart Waterloo Town Square and a Cub Leader for over 20 years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place at David MacLeod Funeral Home , 617 King St N., Waterloo on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Bernice's life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Zenker officiating. Donations to Parkwood Mennonite Home, the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home, 519-888-7700.
