- Fowler, Emma Wilhelmina - Passed quietly to rest, in her 99th year, on January 7, 1985, at Hanover Nursing Home, where she resided for the past three years. She was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Caroline (nee Lang) Troyan; three brothers; two sisters and in 1959 by her husband, Ira. Mrs. Fowler is survived by a daughter, Jeanne (Mrs. Martin Sussman) of Lexington, Mass. and a son, Robert of Durham, Ont.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will be with her at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 2 p.m. Wednesday, with a private chapel service at the funeral home, Thursday at 2 p.m., Jan. 10, Rev. Eric Weber officiating, followed by interment in Mount Hope cemetery, Kitchener. In reflecting on Mrs. Fowler's lifelong concerns for the needs of others, friends could direct their expressions of sympathy to the World Hunger, c/o St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
