    • DEATH OF MR. THOMAS TINDALL
Was Formerly a Resident of Beverly Township

A former resident of Galt and a gentleman well known throughout this section died in Stratford, on Saturday, in the person of Thomas Tindall, aged 82 years. The body was brought to Galt, on Monday and interred in Mount View Cemetery. The late Mr. Tindall for a great number of years, made his home in Beverly Twp., near Sheffield, where he was engaged in farming. Some ten years ago he came to Galt. He remained here until about three years ago when he went to stay with his daughter, Mrs. Rogers, of Stratford, with whom he lived until his death. At one time his son Peter, was in the flour and feed business here. He left Galt for San Francisco and has not been heard from since. The deceased gentleman was one of the first settlers in this district. Like all the early pioneers he was a man who merited and received the respect and esteem of his fellows and his death, though occurring after he had seen more than the four score years, his demise will be learned with sorrow by those who knew him. As far as is known his only surviving child is his daughter, Mrs. Rogers.
