Notes |
- In the fall of this year [1806] Isaac Jones, a colored boy brought in by Abraham Erb, founder of Waterloo village, was lost in the woods. A great many turned out in search without succeeding to find him for over a week. All gave up the search in despair except two who at length heard the bark of the dogs who left with Jones and had never left him. When they found him, he was almost dead from starvation.
