- WALTER S. KOCH September 19, 1932 - January 22, 2008 Passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Arlene (Israel) for 51 years. Loving father of Denise (Steven) Dietrich and Valerie Ullman. Devoted grandfather of Jeremey, Jason, Kyle (Lee Ann) and Kraig Dietrich, Jesse (Kristen) Ullman, Emily (Bryan) Runstedler and Jacob Ullman. Great-grandfather of Simon and Austin Ullman. Survived by his brother, Bill (Fay) of Midland, Raymond (Lucy) of Kitchener, Alice Koch of Kitchener, Ruth Lishman of California and father-in-law, Arthur Israel. Predeceased by parents, Lincoln and Emma (Kienzle) Koch; mother-in-law, Hilda Israel; brother, Leonard (1989); sister, Dorothy Malone (1987); sister, Phyllis Ransom (2001) and three brothers who died in their youth. Walter retired 25 years ago as a mechanic from Kingsway Transport. Walter's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 25, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service to celebrate Walter's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Breslau followed by a reception at the funeral home.
