  Mrs. Anna Forbes Given Final Rites FORT MACLEOD. (HNS) - Committal service was held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning for a former resident of Fort Macleod, Mrs. Anna Millican Forbes, widow of the late Dr. Forbes. who was buried here in 1911. Rev. Herbert F. Dann of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church officiated. A son, Norman Forbes of Edmonton, accompanied the remains of his mother to Fort Macleod for burial in the family plot in the Union Cemetery. Mrs. Forbes resided in Macleod for some 10 or 12 years and left following the passing of her hus- band, Dr. Forbes, and had since resided in Edmonton. A daughter, Freda, survives, and another son, James, predeceased hus mother. Mrs. Skelding. Mrs. Catherine Hamilton and Miss McLaren were friends of the deceased lady, who was 83 years of age. The funeral service was held in Edmonton. James and Harold Millican were brothers. Dr. Forbes acted for a time as surgeon to the RNWMP at Fort Macleod. Lethbridge Herald December 4, 1953
