  MAUS, Hugh C. - Suddenly, at home, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, a lifelong resident of Ayr, in his 76th year. Beloved husband to Lillian (nee Wilkin); loved father to the late Doug (2006), Bob (Glenyce) and David; cherished grandfather to Nicole, Stephanie, Rachel, Graham, Bethany, Jairus and Riley; dear brother to Elizabeth Maus, Jean McGugan, and Don (Sue). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Jairus W. Maus and the former Elizabeth Baxter; his brothers, John and Doug Maus and sisters, Agnes Thompson, Margaret Bond, and Frances Maus. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox United Church, Ayr, on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Fred Hagle officiating. Interment later, Ayr Cemetery.
