    • Hannah Elizabeth Griffin - The funeral of the late Hannah Elizabeth Griffin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Griffin, took place from her parents residence Tuesday afternoon, interment being made in the Ayr Cemetery. Rev. J. W, Currie of Knox United Church conducted the services, during which the hymn, "There were ninety and nine," was sung by Mrs. N. R. Morton, Mrs. G. A. Graham, Mrs. J. M. Hunt and Mrs. H. Plumstead. The pallbearers were: Jackson Reid, Hubert Pitcher, Jack Swan and Ray Little. There were many beautiful floral tributes from relatives, friends and the following societies: Inglis Mission Circle of Knox United Church; Ayr Continuation School; teachers and pupils of primary class and boys of Miss Mitchell's class, Knox United Sunday School; 111th Battalion, Galt, and "The Neighbors". Deceased had been in ill health for several years and for the last few weeks her condition was critical. Death, consequently, was not unexpected. Surviving are her parents, three sisters, Nettie, Willa and Mrs. Martyn Mowry of Brantford, and two brothers, Billy and Harry.
