    • John Nearingburg

      John Nearingburg, a resident of Ayr for the past 32 years, died in Galt Hospital at 8 a.m. last Thursday following an illness of about a week. He was in his 82nd year. Born in London, England, Mr. Nearingburg, along with his wife, who predeceased him three years ago, came to Canada in 1905 and settled in Ayr. He was employed with the John Watson Mfg. Co. and later at the former Hilborn plant here. He was a member of the Anglican Church and was a Liberal in politics. He is survived by one son, Harry Nearingburg, of Galt. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery. The service, which was held in Christ Church, was conducted by the rector, Rev. C. P. Johnson. The pallbearers were: G. S. Dalrymple, Wm. Manson, Arthur Hawes, E. Hooton, B. Walton and Albert Upton.
