  John Nicholas Passes A well-known Ayr resident, John Nicholas passed away in K-W Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday night. Mr. Nicholas had been hospitalized a week previous as the result of a heart attack. He was a native of England and came to this district about 1920. He worked among the farmers for some years and subsequently became a textile factory employee. He followed this trade for many years until overtaken by ill health. Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Larry, at home; a daughter, Elizabeth Anne of Woodstock, and a sister, Mrs. Daisy South, also of Woodstock. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from the W. O. Ball Funeral Home, with interment in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Dec 19 1960 pg 12
