  Mrs. Edna Welsh Long-time RR 3, Ayr resident, Margaret Edna (Oliver) Welsh, died at her residence on Friday, June 2nd, 2000. She was in her 86th year. Born in Brantford Township, she was the daughter of the late Rose Townsend and William Oliver. She was a member of the Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Club and with her husband Jack had farmed for many years west of Ayr. She was able to enjoy her garden and nature up until the day of her death. Edna was predeceased by her husband, the late John G. (Jack) Welsh and her brother, Edwin Oliver. She will be missed by her three daughters, Donna and her husband Bob Hall of Ayr, Diane and her husband David Greb of Kitchener and Marjorie and her husband Keith Moore of Ayr; her seven grandchildren, Jeff Hall and Pam, Lynn Fried and Dave, Andrew Hall and Kelly, Matthew Budd and Donna, Jennifer Budd and Vic, Rodney Stecho and Jennifer, Kevin Stecho and Dana; and her great-grandchildren, Cody and Dylan Hall, Ryan and Jay Fried, Garrett Budd and Connor Hall will miss their great Nanny. She was also blessed with many dear friends. Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Doug Willis officiated. Pallbearers were Jeff and Andrew Hall, Matthew Budd, Rodney and Kevin Stecho, Vic Costa and Dave D'Aguilar. Private interment was in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Jun 7 2000 pg 14
