Notes |
- Sudden Death - While engaged at his work with the John Watson Mfg. Co. …?... morning, Mr. Sidney Morton was taken suddenly ill with a heart attack. A physician was quickly called and he was rushed to Galt Hospital where he expired a few minutes after arrival. Deceased, who was in his 45th year, was born in Wicklow, Ireland, and had served in the British army for many years. Besides other campaigns, he served throughout the Great War, and, on being demobilized, came to Ayr, Canada, where he had since resided. He was very popular with his fellow-employees and his sudden passing came as a distinct shock to the whole community. He was married in April, 1915, to Rose Turner, who survives to mourn her loss. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery.
