- Hector Gordon Kyle of Church Street, Ayr passed away on Saturday, February 2nd. He was in his 76th year. Born at Spring Valley Farm, 7th Concession of Blenheim, he was a son of the late James Kyle and Jean Black. He operated Spring Valley Dairy in Ayr and Paris. In later years he operated Ayr Machine Shop on Swan Street, Ayr. Mr. Kyle was a well-known steam engine enthusiast and had restored many prize winning engines. He was a member of Knox United Church, for-merly an active member of Ayr Curling Club, and member of the Hardy Bay Hunt Club. Predeceased by two sisters Edith Kyle and Esther Brown and a twin brother Harold. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeannette Wallace; two sons David of Scarborough and Donald of Arlington, Texas; a grandson Cameron of Arlington; two sisters Helen Baxter of Ayr and Jean Kyle of RR 1, Drumbo. Funeral service was held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris on Tuesday af-ternoon with Rev. George Saunders officiating. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
