    • Funeral of W. George Black

      The funeral of the late W. George Black of Cobourg took place to Ayr Cemetery on Monday afternoon. Mr. Black, a native of Ayr, was 64 years of age. He was a son of the late William Black and Mrs. Black, whose maiden name was Ada Elliott. After attending school here, he left Ayr for the West as a young man.

      The Survivors

      Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Robert of Toronto. Also surviving are his mother; a sister (Jessie) Mrs. James Brown, and a brother, Carl, all of Toronto.

      The Funeral

      Rev. Mr. Jack, minister of the Presbyterian Church conducted the funeral service at Cobourg while Rev. Wayne E. Smith, minister of the Paris Presbyterian Church, had charge of the service at the chapel in Ayr Cemetery.
