  Mrs. Archibald Bond Passes - The community was saddened this week by the passing on Tuesday of Mrs. Archibald Bond of Smithville at Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton. Mrs. Bond, who was in her 42nd year, had been ill for some time. The former Margaret Wright Maus, she was born south of Ayr, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jairus W. Maus. She was an honor graduate in Home Economics at Victoria College, Toronto, in 1949, and had resided in Smithville for 17 years. She was a member of Smithville United Church, and formerly of Knox United Church, Ayr. Surviving, besides her husband, Dr. Archibald Bond, are a daughter, Cathleen, and sons, Richard and Paul, at home; sisters, Elizabeth Maus, Hamilton; Mrs. Duncan McGugan (Jean), Strathroy, and M.rs. Ian Thomson (Agnes) of Colorado Springs, Col.; brothers, Dr. John Maus, Windsor; Douglas and Hugh of Ayr, and Donald of Kincardine. - The Funeral - Resting at the William Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, and then to Knox United Church, Ayr, at noon on Friday, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Ayr Cemetery.
