    • James Ross Richmond Passes - James Ross Richmond, RR 4, Bright (Washington) passed away Friday in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. He was in his 59th year. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Richmond he lived and farmed all his life on Brae-Heid Farm. As well as farming, Mr. Richmond sold real estate for a period of time. He was a member of the Washington United Church, at one time a member of the former Blenheim Township School Board, and a member of several farm organizations within Oxford County. Surviving besides his wife, the former Jean Smith, are daughters, Mrs. Garry (Carolyn) Gibbons of New Hamburg and Mrs. William (Rosemary) Chesney of London; sons Robert of New Hamburg, Geoffrey and Roger, both at home; a brother Willson of Plattsville and sisters Mrs. Perry Thomson of Washington and Mrs. Oliver Hill of Simcoe. Predeceased by a son James. Funeral service was held Monday at the Glendinning Funeral Home Plattsville. Rev. H.A. Pillen officiated. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Richmond, Quentin Hallman, James Tew, Gordon Kaufman, John Shepherd and Peter McDonald.
