Death of Mrs. Henry Currie - Another well-known former resident of this section, in the person of Mrs. Henry Currie of Forgan, Sask., has been gathered to her fathers, she having passed to the Great Beyond on April 25, in her 76th year. The deceased, whose maiden name was Agnes Hall, was born in South Dumfries, a few miles from Ayr, and after her marriage with Mr. Currie nearly 50 years ago, resided in Blenheim until they removed to Saskatchewan. This was 15 years ago, and it is worthy of remark that the 15 years was exact to a day and almost to an hour between the time of entraining for the West and the arrival here of the corpse for interment in the Ayr cemetery. Mrs. Currie was a woman whose chief interest in life was wrapped up in the moral and spiritual welfare of her family. She was a Presbyterian, a regular attendant at religious service, and active in good works. Besides her husband, she is survived by the following family: Mrs. Thos. Rose, Newdale, Man.; Mrs. F. M. Campbell, James, John and Ernest, all of Forgan. A brother, Mr. Walter Hall of Ayr, also survives. The husband and son Ernest accompanied the remains, which arrived here on Sunday evening, the funeral taking place on Monday. The service was conducted by Rev. J. J. Brown. The local pallbearers were Messrs. John L. Black, Douglas Lillico, J. D. Brown, And. E. Laurie, Geo. D. Black and A . G Lurie.
