  Dorothy Marie Engel Dorothy Marie Engel of Ayr, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16th, 2000 in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was in her 67th year. Born in Normanby Township, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Wilhelmina Fritz. Dorothy's favourite pastimes were baseball, slow-pitch and curling. Dorothy received a life-time membership award this year from the Ayr Curling Club for her long-time dedication to the club. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cambridge. Beloved wife of Donald for 48 years; loving mother of Susan Engel, Nancy and her husband Ron Davis, all of Ayr; special Nana of Cindy Davis, Julie Freiburger and Aaron Hacking; special sister to Irene (Toots) and her husband Joe Exner and sister-in-law of Belle Fritz; she will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews and many special friends. Predeceased by brother Lorne Fritz. Friends were received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, then to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cambridge where funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, July 19th) at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Andrew Paulsen officiating.
