  • Notes
    • Death of Mrs. Taylor, Drumbo

An old and highly esteemed resident of Drumbo passed away on Friday last in the person of Mrs. Donald Taylor, in her 87th year. The deceased, whose maiden name was Janet Brims, was born in Scotland, where she married and came to Canada with her husband, settling at Ancaster. About 22 years ago they moved to Blenheim. Mrs. Taylor had been an invalid for some time, but was of cheerful and loving disposition. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, and, besides her aged husband, leaves a grown-up family of sons and daughters to mourn their loss. The children are: William in Alberta; John in Oregon; Charles at Drumbo; Mrs. Jas. Cowan in Blenheim, and Mrs. C. E. Baxter at Drumbo. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon to the Ayr cemetery, quite a number of people attending the obsequies notwithstanding decidedly inclement weather. The services at both house and grave were conducted by deceased's pastor, Rev. Mr. Shearer, Drumbo.
