  Miss Tena Baxter Passes Funeral services were held on Saturday in Westdale United Church in Hamilton for Miss Christena Baxter who passed away last week. Rev. Dolan officiated. Born in Drumbo, Miss Baxter taught school for several years in Hamilton before going as a missionary to India in 1924. She served in several locations in Central India, first under the Presbyterian Church and then, following union, under the United Church of Canada. She retired from the Mission field in 1959 and spent several years doing deputation work for the United Church. She was a member of Westdale United Church until a year and a half ago. when she transferred to Willis United in Drumbo. The interment was in Ayr cemetery, with her nephews acting as pallbearers and Rev. Milroy and Rev. Brown officiating. The Ayr News 6 May 1976 pg 3
