    • MRS. CHAS. A. BAIN

Sudden Passing of Highly -Esteemed Resident is Sincerely Regretted By Many Friends

The sudden passing at her late residence, Hall street, on Sunday of Mrs. Charles A. Bain came as a great shock to her many friends in Ayr and community. While not in the best of health for some considerable time, Mrs. Bain had been confined to her bed for only a short period and her passing was entirely unexpected. Before her marriage, Mrs. Bain, whose maiden name was Clara J. Forbes, was the efficient public health nurse for Ayr, North Dumfries and South Dumfries. She was born in Waskada, Manitoba, in 1905, and had been a resident of Ayr for the past 15 years. Her parents, Emma Townsend and James Forbes, both predeceased her. Mrs. Bain was a graduate of Winnipeg General Hospital, coming to Ayr to assume the duties of public health nurse. She was a member of the United Church, and took a deep interest in the work of the Women's Hospital Aid. Surviving are her husband, Charles A. Bain, and a daughter, Mary Margaret. The funeral service will be held in Knox United Church, Ayr, this Wednesday afternoon, with interment in the Ayr Cemetery.
