  • Notes
    • Rodger Dies - Death claimed Miss Agnes Rodger in Mount Carmel Hospital, Detroit, on Saturday following an illness of several weeks. The late Miss Rodger, who was in her 77th year, was born on the family homestead on the 8th concession of Blenheim, now occupied by John Rodger. She was a daughter of the late John Rodger and Ellen Cowan. She received her early education in this community, and later took a business course. She left the district in 1903 to accept secretarial employment with a Detroit business firm, a position she held for many years. The late Miss Rodger was a valued member of First Presbyterian Church in that city. Although the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by five sisters and two brothers, she was widely related throughout this vicinity, and held in high regard by many friends. Funeral service was held in Detroit on Monday, and the last rites conducted by Rev. W. D. Goodger at the Ayr Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday afternoon.
