    • Mrs. Phyllis Leiska-Waterman

      The death occurred at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday, December 29, 1994 of Phyllis Maud Ellen Leiska - Waterman of Ayr. Mrs. Waterman was in her 85th year. Born in Rushden, Northamptonshire, England, she was daughter of the late Albert Ernest Upton and Mau Ellen Cross. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husbands, the late Arthur J. B. Leiska (1964) and the late George Waterman; grandson, Michael Leiska (1964) and by brother Ernest. She is survived by two daughters, Georgina and her husband Hugh Jarvis of Wroxeter, Marie and her husband Gerald Rivais of Plattsville; two sons, Raymond Leiska and his wife June of Winnipeg and Reverend Earl E. Leiska and his wife Gloria of London; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leiska-Waterman was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Ayr; the Altar Guild; former president of the Ladies' Guild and Board of Management. Friends were received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, then to Christ Anglican Church where funeral service was held on Monday, January 2 at 2 p.m. Reverend Lynne Calhoun and Reverend Earl Leiska officiated. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
