  Miss Margaret Gillies Former RR 3, Ayr resident Margaret Bell Gillies died at Telfer Place, Paris on Sunday, June 16, 1996. Miss Gillies was in her 93rd year. Born at the family farm she lived there her entire life until moving to Paris in 1973. Miss Gillies was a life-long member of Knox United Church, Ayr, and member of Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Club. She is predeceased by her parents, Mary Marshall and Thomas Alexander Gillies and by two brothers, Marshall and William. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Mary and Roy Churchill of Paris, Bob and Barb Gillies of Ayr, Annette MacLeod of Brantford and John and Betsy Gillies of Paris. Also survived by several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18 at 1: 30 p.m. Reverend Fred Hagle of Knox United Church, Ayr officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 19 Jun 1996 pg 13
