- Mrs. Marshall Gillies
Former RR 3, Ayr resident, Elsie Lillian Gillies of Paris died at the Willett Hospital, Paris on Monday, March 27, 1996. She was in her 89th year. Born in Bad Axe, Michigan, the daughter of Isabelle Pickwell and Robert Dyer, Mrs. Gillies was a former member of Knox United Church in Ayr transferring her membership to the St. Paul's United Church in Paris where she lived. She was predeceased by her husband, John Marshall Gillies in 1970; by her sister, Clara Little and by her brother, William Dyer. Surviving are her children, Mary and her husband, Roy Churchill of Falkland, and Robert and his wife Barbara of RR 3, Ayr and by her grandchildren Scott, Brian and Graham Gillies, Tracey and Jason Churchill. Funeral service was held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris on Wednesday March 29th. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
