  Olive Ruth Dance of St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10th, 2000. She was in her 101st year. Born in Tara, Ontario, she moved to Saskatchewan with her parents at age five to homestead. She broke many female stereotypes of the time when she went to nursing school and graduated in 1923 (McKellar General Hospital, Thunder Bay). She was actively involved in the United Church of Canada all her life. She became a member of the "Three Centuries Club" in January, 2000. Predeceased by her loving husband Jim in 1955. Dear mother of Glenn and his wife Anna of Point Clark, Faye and her husband Bob Kipp of Waterloo and Ruth and her husband Nyle Diefenbacher of Kitchener; much loved grandmother of Ken, Ed, David, Lori, Lisa, Brad, Darryl, Gail, Carol, Craig and Jeff and 22 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by three surviving sisters, Louise Kimber of Lethbridge, Alberta, Mabel Keith of Milden, Sask., and Etta Spicer of Vancouver, British Columbia. Funeral service was conducted from the Ayr Chapel of Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Monday, March 13th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Christian Sandru and Rev. Marilyn Rushton officiating.
