- Gustave (Gus) Dargel
Former RR 3, Bright resident Gustave Rudolph Dargel died at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, April 14, 1995. Mr. Dargel was in his 87th year. Born in Kitchener he was the son of the late Christina and Carl Dargel. He was employed by Seagrams Distillery as a maintenance man; worked at the County Garage, Ayr for several years; and farmed at RR 3, Bright for many years with his brothers Julius and Fred. In later years Mr. Dargel resided in Kitchener. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Helen Stroh and by brothers, Fred, Carl and Rudolph. He is survived by one son Ken and his wife, Shirley of Crystal Beach, Manitoba; one daughter Elaine and her husband Dick Whitehouse of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and by his brother Julius Dargel of Kitchener. Dear friend of Elsie Bright of Kitchener. Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, on Tuesday, April 18 at 1: 30 p.m. Pastor Reynold Kipfer officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery.
