  Allen Mitchell - Former Ayr resident, Allen Scott Mitchell, died peacefully at the Willett Hospital, Paris, on Tuesday, May 11, 1993. Mr. Mitchell was in his 56th year. Born in New Westminster, B.C. he was a son of the late George Henry Mitchell and Ellen Cowe Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Esther Mitchell of Ayr, sons, Scott and his wife, Lisa of Paris, Timothy of Toronto and Gregory of Ayr; grandson, Daniel; brothers, Gordon of Marietta, Georgia and Murray of North Vancouver, B.C. and by his sister, Christine Koverchuk of Delta, B.C. Mr. Mitchell was a longtime member of the Canadian Armed Forces (Reserve) and local Air Cadet Squadrons. Cremation has taken place. Interment Ayr Cemetery. A private memorial service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home. The Ayr News May 19 1993 pg 14
