  • Notes
    • Sudden Death in Blenheim - Death came suddenly at the home of Mr. John Matheson, lot 5, con. 10, Blenheim, on Tuesday afternoon when the head of the household was stricken with paralysis and passed away very shortly afterwards, in his 62nd year. R. Matheson had been ailing for several years and a few months ago sustained a slight stroke, but was still able to be about some. He purchased the Lillico farm about a year ago and was therefore a comparative stranger in these parts. Deceased was born in Edinburg, Scotland, and for some years kept store at Exeter, Ont. He was a Presbyterian in religion and in politics a Reformer. His partner in life and a family of three daughters and two sons survive. The funeral, which is private, will take place to the Ayr cemetery this afternoon. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved family.
