  James Ronald Passes - The death occurred in Ayr on Wednesday last of James Ronald, in his 69th year. Deceased had been ailing for a period of one year, but his illness was not considered serious until about six weeks ago. He was born on a farm situated between the villages of St. George and Glenmorris, where he spent his early days. He later took up farming on the 9th Concession of Blenheim, where he resided for many years. About 10 years ago he retired to Ayr, and for a number of years was an employee of the Watson Company. Mr. Ronald was a man of exemplary character and was esteemed by a large acquaintanceship for his many good qualities. He was a member of Knox United Church and was recently elected as a member of the Session. He also took a deep interest in Sunday school work and for many years acted in the capacity of teacher, lie was married 43 years ago to Christie Ann McPherson, who, along with the following two sons and one daughter, survive to mourn their loss, viz.: William D., Winnipeg; Gordon, 10th Con. Blenheim; and Jeanetta, Toronto. Two brothers and one sister also survive, as follows: Robert, near Galt; and Alvin B., and Mrs. Barrett, near St. George. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery and was attended by many friends and acquaintances. The services were in charge of Rev. J. W. Currie, assisted by Rev. G. I. Stephenson. The pallbearers were Messrs. Wm Goldie, George Smye, H. C. Schlichter, Andrew Halland and F. E. Robinson. The Ayr News Apr 29 1926 pg 6
