  William (Bill) Foreman Ayr native and life long resident George William (Bill) Foreman died suddenly at his home on Hall Street on Wednesday, September 8, 1999. Bill was in his 67th year. He was a son of the late Bertha Ann Williams and Robert Blake Foreman. Prior to his retirement he was an employee for many years with Babcock & Wilcox. He will be missed by his wife, Amelia Turkington; his daughter, Heather of Ayr; sons, Brian and his wife Dianne of Kitchener, Bruce and his wife Tania and Gerry and his wife Rhonda, all of Ayr; grandchildren, Lindsay, Blake and Bradley; sisters, Doris Pickersgill of Cambridge, Marjery and her husband Ivan Lisso of Paris and by brother, Jack of Kamloops, B.C. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Helen Gaines, Jean Groggins and Ruth McEwen. Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Friday, September 10 at 1: 30 p.m. Reverend Fred Hagle of Knox United Church officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 8 Sep 1999 pg 12
