    • The Passing of Mrs. Montgomery Davis - Mrs. Montgomery Davis (Jessie Laurie) died on Saturday, August 8, in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, after a lingering illness. She was in her 64th year Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Andrew Laurie and Mary Wight. She spent her early life at Ayr and Galt. After her marriage 20 years ago, she went to live in Dublin, and had resided there ever since. She was a member of the United Church. She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Wm. T. Edgar, Ayr, and Mrs. Nellie Robson, Windsor, and one brother, Andrew E. Laurie, Ayr. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, with service at the W. R. Heath Funeral Home, Mitchell. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery.
